童子智少，愈少而愈完；成人智多，愈多而愈散。

孩子的心智不健全，而心智越不健全，其天性就越是純然。

成人的心智發達，而心智越發達，其思想就越是活泛紛雜。

【English Translation】

Children know little about the world, so, the less their knowledge the more intact their inborn nature.

Adults know much about the world, so, the more their knowledge the more complicated their minds.
