25. In handling affairs, one should be clear about right and wrong, and attentive to intensiveness and thoroughness in writing and speaking.

大丈夫①處事，論是非不論禍福；士君子②立言，貴平正尤貴精詳③。

【今文解譯】

有為之士為人處事時，隻關心正確與否而不關心給他帶來的是災禍還是福祉。

有學之士發表言論或寫文章時，重要的是公平公正但更重要的是論述要精辟。

【English Translation】

In handling affairs, a true man only cares about what is right and wrong, not about whether the affairs will turn out to be a good fortune to him or not.

In writing or speaking, a knightly scholar first pays attention to justice and equity, and then more attention to the intensiveness and thoroughness.
