22. Power and influence are floating clouds; an evil man makes trouble out of nothing.

權勢之徒，雖至親亦作威福，豈知煙雲過眼，已立見其消亡；奸邪之輩，即平地亦起風波，豈知神鬼有靈，不肯聽其顛倒。

【今文解譯】

擁有權勢的人即使對身邊最親近的人也作威作福，殊不知手中的權勢隻不過是轉眼即逝的煙雲而已。

奸詐邪惡的人即使沒事也會惹是生非，殊不知神鬼其實也是有靈魂感知的，不會任憑他們胡作非為。

【English Translation】

The man of power and influence even lord it over his kinsfolk, unaware that the power and influence he possesses now are only the smokes and clouds which will disappear at any time.

A crafty, evil man even makes trouble out of nothing, not knowing that the ghosts and spirits are all sharp-eyed enough to perceive his scheme and will not let him run wild willfully.
