20. To be a man, one should distinguish right from wrong and keep in his heart the sense of shame.

心能辨是非，處事方能決斷；人不忘廉恥，立身自不卑汙①。

心中有了正確的是非觀，處理起事情來就能做到果斷堅決。

做人不忘廉恥，為人處世就自然不會做出有損品格的事來。

【English Translation】

Only when a man has cultivated the ability to distinguish between right and wrong can he handle affairs with resolution.

Only when a man has kept in his heart the sense of shame can he conduct himself in a way free of filth and mire.
