4. Proper words are ordinary words; dutiful persons are happy persons.

穩當①話，卻是平常話，所以聽穩當話者不多；本分②人，即是快活人，無奈做本分人者甚少。

【今文解譯】

妥帖的話也即平常的話，所以聽得進妥帖話的人不多。

本分的人也即快樂的人，隻可惜願做本分人的人太少。

【English Translation】

Proper words are what called ordinary words; that抯 why those who are unwilling to pay heed to them are many.

Dutiful persons are what called happy persons; but it抯 a regret that those who are ready to stick to their duties are few.
