五八、苦中有樂 得意生悲

58. As pleasure grows in suffering, so frustration forms in contentment.

苦心中，常得悅心之趣；得意時，便生失意之悲。

【今文解譯】

人在苦心追求一樣東西的時候，常會有愉悅之情泛自心底。

人有所獲而沾沾自喜的時候，失意的悲情往往會悄然而生。

【English Translation】

In the course of hard pursuit joys may often spring from the bottom of the heart; while at the time of contentment the sorrow of frustration may arise beyond expectation.
