二三、責惡勿太嚴 教善勿太高

23. Be not too severe when reproaching someone with his faults, nor too demanding when initiating someone into righteousness.

攻人之惡毋太嚴，要思其堪受；教人以善毋過高，當使其可從。

批評別人的過錯，言語不宜過激，要顧及他們是否能夠承受。

教人學做善事，要求不可太高，而應考慮他們是否能夠做到。

【English Translation】

Not be too severe when you reproach others with their faults; it is better to consider how much they can endure.

Not be too demanding when you initiate others into righteousness; it is better to make them feel easy to keep up.
