上帝是不會賜人以清閑生活的，但誰若有幸得到這樣的生活，不妨可以使自己忙碌一點，以抵消些自己為人所嫉的成分。

上帝是不會賜人以良好名聲的，但誰若有幸得到這樣的名聲，不妨坦然麵對外界的誹謗，以去掉些其實難副的東西。

【English Translation】

Life of leisure and ease is never the bliss God is to bestow. But he who happens to have got it may as well make the best of it by immersing himself in his own business.

Good reputation, if not rightly accorded, is what God despises. But he who has attained it by chance may as well live up to it by going through all the possible slanders.
