君子小人，隻須五更頭①檢點②，思想的是什麼便得。

要想知道自己是君子還是小人，隻消清晨醒來自我反省一下，檢查一下腦子裏在想些什麼，便一清二楚。

【English Translation】

To affirm if you yourself are a noble man or a mean fellow, you only have to examine yourself early in the morning when you wake up. The answer just lies in what you are thinking about or desiring for.

以道窒欲 則心自清
